Reclaim is a slow fashion company. We think long and hard about the essential wardrobe staples women need and design the best possible version of them. We create high-quality, elevated garments with extreme attention to details, the utmost respect for the planet, and honest prices.
A cashmere turtleneck is an iconic wardrobe staple for a reason––it's chic and incredibly cozy.
If you are the kind of woman who loves an effortlessly elevated outfit and to easily transition from chic to casual, a cashmere turtleneck is the ideal winter companion. However, between fabrics that pile after a few washes, styles that do not stand the test of time and brands overcharging, we were fed up.
This changes today. Time to Reclaim.
The Reclaim Cashmere Turtleneck is designed to keep you warm, classic, and looking your best.
Our cashmere fabric comes from a sustainable and organic factory in Mongolia, where it’s sourced, refined and produced. This exceptionally soft material is one of the most luxurious and long-lasting in the world. For reference, sweaters of the same quality retail in stores in the ~$600 price range.
Cozy up in this perfectly oversized, chunky cashmere turtleneck that'll keep you toasty and chic on even the chilliest days. With elegant ribbed knit and incredibly fluffy texture, you'll want to reach for it again and again.
Often turtlenecks are constraining and even itchy at times. For this reason we have tested several designs until perfecting a plush, elevated and very comfortable maxi ribbed neck.
I am Zana, the founder of Reclaim. There has been something that has been bothering me a lot, and I feel the need to address it officially here. I am talking about cashmere pricing.
If you were to shop for cashmere sweaters today, you’d be buried in options - from luxury items selling for about $1750 to items at just under $100. This is enough to make anyone suspicious and confused. Truth is that there are two things going on: luxury brands charging a substantial premium for heritage and unethical brands taking advantage of consumers.
First, when it comes to high-end designer clothing, you pay far more for branding than product. This is one the reasons I started Reclaim in the first place and made it a mission to make quality products accessible.
For the second, there are a lot of brands claiming to be cutting out the middlemen and going direct-to-consumer to offer cashmere sweaters for $100 or less. Let me spell it out: even if you go direct to the goat, quality cashmere raw material costs more than $100. It should be no surprise that none of these sweaters are any good. Since quality cashmere is expensive, that means cheap cashmere sweaters have to cut costs somewhere – either by knitting with a lot of slack, using cheaper yarns and knitting shorter fibers (leading to pilling and softness that goes away after the first wash).
In short, there are a lot of fashion victims. I wanted to create a piece without compromises: the finest material used by top premium brands at an honest price.
