Our founder, Zana, grew up in the Italian fashion industry. A day spent with manufacturers and pattern makers was a normal day of her childhood.
When she moved to the US, she was at a point in her life where she could not stomach poorly constructed and low-quality fast-fashion, but also was not willing to spend a fortune for unjustified brand premiums of designer labels.
She decided to satisfy her own needs and create a brand of foundational pieces women would be proud to wear.

We work with two factories: a small family-owned factory in Florence and a cashmere speciality producer in Inner Mongolia. We handpicked them for their world-class construction techniques passed on through generations and their passion for getting the details just right.
